Perforated Alumina Ceramic Plate (3×11 Holes), High-Temp Insulating Spacer
$390.00
- Outer Dimensions (L×W): 174×80mm; Hole Diameter: 5±0.2mm; 1pc/pack.
- This Alumina Ceramic Plate is manufactured using high-purity Al2O3 (>99%) through a slip-casting process, resulting in high density and smooth, even surfaces on both the interior and exterior. It is designed for long-term use at temperatures up to 1600°C.
Precautions for Using 99% Alumina Crucibles
Before the first use, the crucible should be placed in an oven at approximately 105°C for 120 minutes to remove moisture.
Do not use gasoline torches, acetylene torches, or alcohol lamps for direct heating to avoid cracking of the crucible due to uneven heating.
- The distance between the crucible and the heating element (such as carbon tubes, silicon carbide rods, heating wires, etc.) should be greater than 2 cm.
4. The rate of heating or cooling should not be too rapid. Below 1200°C, the rate should be less than 5°C per minute; above 1200°C, it should be less than 4°C per minute. For cooling, it is recommended to use controlled power cooling. Directly turning off the power at high temperatures may cause rapid initial cooling, potentially leading to cracking.
5. For large crucibles, it is advisable to avoid direct contact between the bottom of the crucible and the furnace floor. Use high-temperature resistant materials such as corundum plates to elevate the crucible, promoting air convection and extending the crucible's lifespan (as shown at right).
